What is Education for Good (formerly known as the UWC-Inspired Vietnam Campus Project)?
Education for Good (VNUWC) is a visionary initiative dedicated to establishing a nonprofit international boarding school in Vietnam, offering an educational experience that is not only academically enriching but also deeply rooted in the cultural vibrancy of Vietnam. VNUWC’s mission is to nurture a joyful and inclusive community of changemakers who embrace their authenticity for holistic growth, purpose-driven study, and impactful service to communities in Vietnam and globally. Guided by the principles of the United World Colleges (UWC) movement and spearheaded by former UWC staff and students, VNUWC is committed to expanding access to the unique UWC educational experience for Vietnamese youth and students worldwide.
Headquartered in Philadelphia, PA and operating as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, VNUWC is driven by a small but dedicated team of six members working primarily remotely from the U.S. and Vietnam. Guided by core values of Vision, Belonging, Compassion, Fun, and Sustainability, the team is united in their mission to create a nurturing environment where students feel empowered to become lifelong learners and compassionate global citizens. Through this project, VNUWC aspires to contribute significantly to educational accessibility and the development of future leaders who are equipped to make a positive impact both locally and globally.
What is UWC?
United World Colleges (UWC) is a global movement that makes education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.
From what began in 1962 as one school, founded by Kurt Hahn and a group of idealistic educators, UWC has grown into a powerful not-for-profit global education movement.
UWC has global ambition and reach. It identifies and nurtures the most talented young people from every corner of the world, including from highly disadvantaged and displaced communities.
UWC's 18 schools worldwide adopt a holistic approach to empowering young people. Beyond quality academics, our education focuses on transformational life skills. Every individual student at UWC counts, but what matters even more are the solutions that they will contribute to the world.
